Caitlyn Tabeling,

MSW, LSW

Child Therapist

Caitlyn is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Licensed School Special Service Provider specializing in child therapy and early childhood mental health. She has extensive experience providing school-based counseling services within Poudre School District (PSD), where she supported preschool and elementary-aged children with emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, anxiety, and social-emotional development.

Caitlyn works primarily with young children and their families, using evidence-based play therapy approaches to help children safely express emotions, build resilience, and strengthen coping skills. Her clinical approach includes Sand Tray Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT), both highly effective modalities for children who benefit from developmentally appropriate, play-based mental health support.

As a child and family mental health provider, Caitlyn emphasizes relationship-based therapy, collaboration with caregivers, and family involvement. She believes that strong therapeutic relationships are the foundation for meaningful and lasting change. Caitlyn is deeply committed to inclusive, equitable mental health care, ensuring that children and families from all backgrounds have access to emotional education, mental health resources, and affirming therapeutic spaces.

Caitlyn believes that mental health support and emotional literacy are essential life skills, not optional or “soft” skills, and provide the foundation for connection and resilience. Whether providing child therapy, partnering with parents and caregivers, or collaborating with schools and community providers, Caitlyn is dedicated to strengthening emotional wellness and resilience in children, families, and the greater Northern Colorado community.
